Students Praised for Exam Success

Headteacher Mr Paul Halcro shared with Year 11 leaving students that he knew that the last few months had been a really unsettling and difficult time.

He said that all the data in school confirmed that the 2020 leavers were on track to achieve yet another record set of results for the school.

He considers that the grades awarded are testament to our student's hard work and perserverance over many years and hopes that they can now use these as a springboard to further success in all aspects of their lives.

In summary

66% (up from 60% in 2019) of students achieved Grade 4 or higher in English and Maths

41% (up from 35% in 2019) of students achieved Grade 5 or higher in English and Maths

A Progress 8 score at least in line with the national expectation

19% of students achieving the English Baccalaureate

49 Grades awarded at Grade 9, 63 at Grade 8 and 81 at Grade 7

Student 1 achieving - 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s and a Grade 7

Student 2 achieving - 6 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8 and a Grade 7
